Edward G. Hagen, past 70 years of age, died
suddenly Friday at his home in Paint Creek township, from heart trouble. Born and reared in Allamakee county, he was a Spanish-American war veteran. He is survived by his widow and the following brothers: Holver, Albert, Peter, this vicinity; Otto, Detroit, Mich., M(?)lvin, Fargo, N.D.; and a sister, Mrs. Otto Sorrenson, near here. Funeral services were held Sunday at the West Paint Creek Lutheran church. Burial was in the adjacent cemetery with military honors by Spanish-American and World war Veterans of Waukon.
