Mrs. EGBERT (Minnie A. Jones) EWING 1866-1934

The death of Mrs. Egbert Ewing occurred Saturday at her home in Jefferson twp. following an extended illness from an incurable disease.

The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Jones, her maiden name being Miss Minnie Jones. She was born on Round Prairie, north east of Waukon on March 7, 1866 and was 67 years, 10 months and 20 days old.

On March 27, 1896 she married Egbert Ewing. They have one daughter Violet. Survived by 6 sisters and 3 brothers: Mrs. Fred Shine, Waterloo; Mrs. Harvey Clark, Postville, Mrs. Frank Miller, Los Angles; Mrs. George Teeter, Chicago; Mrs. George Russell, Lansing; Mrs. C. C. DeWitt, Waukon; Willis Jones, Lansing and Arthur and Louis of Waukon, Iowa.

She was a well known teacher in this county and Winneshiek and Black Hawk County. Funeral services held on Monday at Presbyterian Church at Rossville. Burial in Oakland Cemetery.
