Waukon, Ia., May 13 - Mike Ronan who recently went to Seattle, Wash., to reside died there a few days ago.

Mr. Ronan was born in French Creek township 67 years ago in August. He was married Sept. 30, 1879, to Miss Nellie Dougherty and this union was blessed with eight children as follows: John, of Chicago; Mrs. Mayme Wyman, Mrs. Anna Smith and Michael Edward, all of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Harry Oleson and Cytil, of Minneapolis; Mrs. Clifford Marlow, of Ames; and Joe, of Waukon.

Mr. Ronan was the popular carrier on route 2 for 17 years and retired on a pension in August.

His children departed for Seattle to attend the funeral, burial taking place there.

He is also survived by one brother, D.D. Ronan, of French Creek township.
