Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services were held Thursday morning at St. Ann's Catholic church at Harpers Ferry for Mrs. Peter LaTronche, well known resident of Taylor who died at the family home in Harpers Ferry Tuesday night following a lingering illness.

A requiem mass was celebrated by the Rev. Vernon Peters and burial was made in the family lot in Wexford cemetery in Lafayette township.

Mrs. LaTronche was born in Wisconsin Aug. 19, 1879, as Augusta Valley. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Valley, early residents of that vicinity. she was twice married, her first husband being Cyprian Martelle, who died about 25 years ago.

In 1914 she married Peter LaTronche, who survives her as do also there three children, Joseph Martelle of Harpers Ferry; Mrs. Paul Cahalan of Chicago and Mrs. Frank Harm of Wexford. A sister, Mrs. Gideon Martelle, also of Harpers Ferry, is the only other survivor.
