JAMES FITZGERALD 1923-1962

Rites Held For Jim Fitzgerald

James Fitzgerald, son of Harry and Elizabeth Fitzgerald, was born November 23, 1923, West Union. He died at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, November 26, 1962.

James Fitzgerald was graduated from the Postville high school in 1942. James' mother, who was the superintendent of the Postville Hospital for a number of years, died in 1942. He was also preceded in death by his father.

He spent most of his life in Postville doing kind, thorough and helpful labor for many of the citizens of the community.

Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home, Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites. Burial was in Wadena.
