Albert Goeke, of Waukon, corporal in Co. G, 3d U. S. Infantry, was killed in the Philippines on the 4th. He was in a squad sent out to capture robbers who had looted a wagon train and they were fired on from ambush.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Zalmona Presbyterian Cemetery in Waukon and was born July 29, 1872.
