Thomas F. Smith, 70, of 907 State St., died in a local hospital Sunday morning, April 30. He was born in Dorchester, Iowa, Jan. 17, 1902. He was a former La Crosse Rubber Mills employe(e). sic

Survivors include his widow, Mabel: a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Glotz of La Crosse: two sons, Warner and LeRoy Smith, both of La Crosse: five grandchildren: two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Bessie) Kumpf of Dorchester, and Mrs. Obert (Mae) Haugstad of Caledonia, Minn.: and two brothers, Wilfred of Waukon, Iowa, and Merl of La Crosse.

Service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Schumacher Funeral Home. Rev. Fritz Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
