Eric Wayne Steiber, 18, of rural Lansing was killed Saturday morning near here in an auto accident.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church here, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at 2:30 p.m.Sunday at the Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home here.

He was a senior at Eastern Allamakee Community High School. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Steiber of Lansing; three brothers, Alan and Daryl, both of Lansing and Byron of Algona, Iowa; a sister, Cheryl of Carthage, Ill., and his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Freda) Maust Sr. of Lansing.

Eric was born October 15, 1959 and passed away October 22, 1977. His paternal grandparents were Frederick and Selma (Dee) Steiber.
