BENDER, LAGENBACHER, DAVIS

Waukon, Ia., Dec. 12 - Funeral services were held at the home this Thursday afternoon for W.C. Bender, bridge contractor, who was found dead in his car at his home Monday evening. Death was caused by monoxide poisoning.

Revs. J. Powers and R.L. Van Nice officiated, Odd Fellows having charge of services at Oakland cemetery.

Mr. Bender was born in Allamakee county May 8, 1876, residing here all his life. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Lagenbacher 30 years ago. Four children were born to them, Harold of Milford, Ia.; Donald of Kansas City; Creighton of La Crosse; and a daughter who died three years ago.

Mrs. Bender died Oct. 12, 1925, and on Jan. 1, 1926, he was married to Mrs. Edna Davis, who survives, with seven step-children. Three brothers, Owen of Manawa, Wis.; Elmer of Spring Valley and Percy of Waukon, also survive.
