Waukon, Ia., Dec. 21 - Mrs. Hannah M. Cooper of Waukon died early Friday morning at the home of Mrs. Ella Gilchrist, with whom she had made her home for the past four years. Mrs. Cooper, who had been bedridden for several years, was 93 years of age.

Mrs. Cooper, nee Gessey, was born in New York March 10, 1836. She came to Allamakee county to reside when a young woman, and it was here she was married to G.B. Pratt, a soldier, who died during the Civil war. Later she married Harmon Cooper, and they made their home in Jefferson township up to the time of his death about eight years ago.

Four step-children survive; Edward Cooper in Oregon; Marlin Cooper in Kansas; Mrs. Gusta Lundenber of Mason City and Frank Cooper in Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held in the Presbyterian church, with burial in Oakland cemetery.
