Jeffery Heins Interred Saturday

Services were held Saturday, January 8, 1972 at 10:30 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona for Jeffrey John Heins who died Wednesday, January 5, 1972. The Rev. R. E. Langholz officiated.

Jeffrey had fallen in his home Tuesday afternoon, received medical attention and was thought to be all right but became ill Wednesday evening, was brought to the Postville hospital and was being transferred to Rochester, Minn., when he died enroute.

Jeffrey John Heins was born February 18, 1968 at Fort Dodge and on April 19, 1968 was adopted as the son of Frederick Heins and Bonnie Jean nee Ruroden.

May 12, 1968, a service of confirmation of baptism was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona with R. E. Langholz, pastor. Jeff was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Sunday school and enjoyed participating in the children's Christmas service a few weeks ago.

He is survived by his parents, one brother Douglas, his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ruroden of Maquoketa, formerly of Postville; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Heins, Monona; a great grandmother, Mrs. A. B. Halvorson of Elgin, and other relatives.

Burial was at the Lutheran Cemetery, Monona.
