HENRY CARL HEINS 1893-1979

Funeral services for Henry C. Heins were held Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1979 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Reverend David R. Nelson officiated. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Henry Carl Heins, son of Henry and Wilhelmina (Martens) Heins, was born March 7, 1893, near Postville. He passed away Monday morning, November 19, 1979 at Winneshiek County Memorial hospital, Decorah, at the age of 86 years.

September 27, 1917 he was united in marriage with Amelia Kutzbach at Postville. To this union five children were born.

The couple farmed south of Luana.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dec. 24, 1964, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, two brothers: Louie and Rudy, and a sister, Anna (Mrs. Charles Senholz).

Henry is survived by three sons: Ernie, Postville; Henry, Jr. and Glen, both of Luana; two daughters: Mabel (Mrs. Virgil Sawvell), Elk River, MN and LaVerna (Mrs. Roland Dundee), Postville; thirty-three grandchildren, fifty-five great grandchildren, two brothers; Ed, Clermont, and William, Luana; one sister, Mrs. Ella Bittner, Guttenberg.
