Charles A. Fitz, 68, of Lansing, died Tuesday, October 16, 1990 at Charter Community Hospital, Des Moines, IA.

Charles was born in Des Moines and a resident there for 30 years. He was in the Army during WWII and was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as a Motor Service Supervisor for the State of Iowa until retirement in 1978. After retiring, they made their home in Lansing. He was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers and Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lansing.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; a brother, Robert of Grand Terrace, CA and two sisters, Edith Rankin and Elizabeth Cook, both of Green Valley, AZ.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct 25, at 1 p.m. in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lansing, with Pastor Peter Samuelson officiating. The body was cremated. Westover Funeral Home of Des Moines was in charge of the arrangements.

Any memorial contributions may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lansing.
