HENRY J. KLUSS - died 1892

Our people were shocked, on Sunday morning, to hear that Henry J. KLUSS residing near Bethel church, had committed suicide by shooting, on Saturday evening previous. He sold his farm some time ago, and afterwards regretted that and tried to put it back, but could not do so. After this he purchased E. SWENSON's farm, but was not fully satisfied with the purchase, most of his neighbors thinking he had paid too much for it. The sale of his won farm and the purchase of the other seemed to prey on his mind, and it finally gave way, making it possible for him to take his own life. The funeral services were held from the Lutheran church on Tuesday and the remains were deposited in their cemetery in Postville. His age was about 36 years and he leaves a wife and 6 small children, besides mother and brothers and sisters.
