Services were held Sunday, June 6, 1971 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Ludlow Township, for Lydia L. Koehring who died at the Good Samaritan Center, Postville, June 3, 1971.

Lydia Lenora, daughter of August and Louise Grotegut Shafer, was born in Ludlow township December 24, 1883. She was baptized May 25, 1884 and confirmed March 26, 1899.

She was united in marriage to Charles Koehring November 25, 1909 and the couple farmed in Ludlow Township.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne and Roland, six grandchildren and eight great grand children. Her husband and daughter Viola Opfer preceded her in death.

Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
