Mrs. HENRY M. (Molly Stockman) KOEVENIG 1875-1940
Mrs. Henry M. Koevenig, 64, a resident of Postville for many years, passed away Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., in her home after an illness of several years' duration. Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock in St. Bridget's Catholic church with Rev. P. Hogan officiating. Interment will be made in Postville cemetery.
As Molly Stockman, she was born November 7, 1875, in Louisville, Ky., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stockman. She came to Postville in her youth with her parents, obtaining an education in the Postville schools.
On January 12, 1898, she was married at Monona to Henry M. Koevenig. They made their home in Postville where Mrs. Koevenig spent the remainder of her life.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Joseph H., of Albert Lea, Minn., and Paul H., of Decorah; four sisters, (Anna) Mrs. John Brown of Austin, Minn., (Margaret) Mrs. William Weisbeck of Minneapolis, Minn.; and three brothers, William Stockman of Postville, E. E. Stockman of Alpine, Calif., and Gilbert Stockman of West Union.
