Karl Sallach was born at Lauenburg Tommern, Germany, July 20, 1844. In 1872 he came to America, and made his home in Chicago. In 1881 he moved to Linton Twp., Allamakee County, Ia., where he resided ever since.

On the morning of March 3rd he past away, and a life of much suffering came to an end. The burial took place in the Watson cemetery, and the funeral service was held in Watson Church, March 5, 1915, Rev. E.G. Glaeser officiating.

Note: The Watson cemetery is aka Council Hill cemetery. He lived with his mother Caroline.
