Mrs. JOHN (Mary O'Meara) McLAUGHLIN

Mrs. John McLaughlin of Union Prairie township died Saturday morning at Sunny Crest hospital in Dubuque, where she has been since the fourteenth of November for treatment. She had been ill since July. The remains arrived here Saturday evening accompanied by her husband and the funeral took place Monday morning from the Hanover Catholic church conducted by Rev. Father Reynolds.

Mary O'Meara was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis O'Meara and was born in Hanover township November 4, 1876, and was married to John McLaughlin November 20, 1902.* This union was blessed with seven children, four sons and three daughters, namely: ** Bertram,*** James, Ralph, Bernice, Marie and Genevieve, all of whom are living. She is also survived by her father, Dennis O'Meara, and one brother, James O'Meara of Hanover township.

The following from a distance attended the funeral Monday: Misses Josephine and Catherine McLaughlin of Minneapolis, Chris Shields, Mrs. James Shay**** and Jim Shields of Bonair, Iowa, and James and Morris Fenelon of Dubuque.
