Mrs. Gotfried Wild, well known resident of French Creek, passed away at her home July 7 following an illness extending over a period of about six months. She was born in 1850. About six months ago she was taken to a La Crosse hospital but of no avail, as the doctor pronounced her case hopeless. She was a woman of lovable disposition and her friends were grieved to hear of her passing away. The funeral was held on Saturday at 2:30 from the home of the German Methodist church in French Creek. Interment was made in the cemetery near the church. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Charles of Union City, George at home. Mrs. Frank Weymiller of New Albin, Mrs. Charles Hendricks, and Mrs. Walter Hausman of Church, Ia.
