MRS. ANNIE VERTHEIN
Waukon, Ia. – Special: Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Verthein, 80, were held from the Martin Brothers Funeral Home to the Presbyterian Church Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Mrs. Verthein died at the hospital here late Saturday night following a long illness.She was born in Germany on March 2, 1862, and came to this country early in life.
Survivors are five daughters, and four sons, Mrs. Bert Bulman, Waukon; Mrs. Joe Bulman, Marion, Ia.; Mrs. Gus Wilde, French Creek Township; Mrs. Nap Olander, Center Township; Mrs. Mark Donahue, Waukon; Henry Verthein, Lansing; George Verthein, French Creek; John Verthein, Waukon and Gus Verthein, Caledonia.
There are 30 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Herbert Gruber, died in 1918.
