VICTOR LUDWIG MEYER

Services were held Saturday, January 6 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, for Victor L. Meyer, who died January 3, 1973 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville. The Rev. Norman Ullestad officiated.

Victor Ludwig Meyer, son of Fred W. Meyer and his wife Emma Bruns Meyer, was born March 27, 1893 on a farm west of Postville. He was baptized in St. Paul Lutheran Church, May 8, 1893 by Pastor F. H. Schumann and confirmed April 12, 1908 by Pastor R. Kuehne. He received his education in the country school.

Mr. Meyer lived all of his life on the home farm where he was born with the exception of three months spent in training in the army during World War I.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his father in September, 1955 and his mother in May, 1964. Surviving are his sister Ora, also a life-long resident on the farm; two aunts, Mrs. Emma Bruns and Mrs. Helen Meyer, and several cousins.

Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
