Jonas Amundson was down from Highlandville Monday. From him we learn of the death of his oldest daughter Amanda, a young lady twenty years of age. She was afflicted with appendicitis and refused an operation which might have saved her life.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in Iowa River Cemetery in Allamakee County and was born September 14, 1883 and died September 6, 1904.
