Mrs. Wm. (Hattie E. Misner) MOTT

Died, at her home in the Park hotel, in Postville, Dec. 12th, 1893, after a short illness, of typhoid pneumonia, Mrs. Hattie E. MOTT, wife of Wm. MOTT, aged 57 years, 4 months and 29 days. Hattie E. MISNER was born in the state of New York, July 13th, 1836. She was married to Wm. W. MOTT, Feb. 22nd, 1857, and, with her husband, came to Iowa, Dec. 10th, 1862. She first joined the Methodist church in 1860, and nobody has ever doubted the genuineness of her christianity. She leaves no children of her own to mourn her loss, but Mrs. T. B. EASTON was an adopted daughter and she mourns as deeply as any child could. Mr. MOTT is thus left alone to walk the balance of the journey of life. The funeral obsequies were held from the Methodist church on Thursday and the remains laid away to their final rest.
