NEUHRING FUNERAL RITES SET.

Funeral services for Alvin Neuhring, Portland, who died Monday in a Mason City Hospital, will be held at 1:30 on Thursday afternoon at Castalia. The body will lie in state at the Schutte Funeral Home at Postville.

He was born at Waukon in 1898, the son of Deitrich and Louise Fisher Neuhring. On July 3, 1919, he was married to Selma Schroeder of Castalia. They made their home in Mason City until 1942 and later moved to Nora Springs where they lived until 1967, when they moved to Portland. He was employed at Jensen Neon Sign Co., Mason City, before retiring because of illness.

He is survived by the widow, a son Leonard, Mason City, and a daughter Marcel Heagel, Kensett, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth, in 1942, his parents, six brothers and two sisters.
