Mrs. Herman Steiber
Lansing, Ia.-Services for Mrs. Herman Steiber, 71, will be held Sunday at the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Mrs. Steiber died Friday morning after a long illness.The former Anna Lenz, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lenz, was born in Germany May 16, 1877. With her parents she came to America when she was nine years old.
She was married to Herman Steiber at Tomah, Wis., Aug. 24, 1904. Mr. and Mrs. Steiber came to Allamakee county and made their home on a farm in Lafayette township until, 10 years ago, they moved to Lansing.
Mrs. Steiber was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Raymond, Leslie and Donald, all of Lansing; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Schulze, of Lansing; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Will and Herman Lenz, both of Tomah; two sisters, Mrs. Gottleib Damerow, of Tomah, and Mrs. Howard Grassler, of Carlton, Ore. One sister preceded her.
