Waukon, Ia.-Special: Funeral services for Louis Olson, 71, who died at his home east of here Tuesday, (15 May 1945) following a period of ill health, were held Friday afternoon at the Old East Paint Creek church. The Rev. Oscar Haugstul, pastor of the Waterville Lutheran church, officiated. Burial was made in the family nearby cemetery.

Mr. Olson was born on a farm near Waterville on June 18, 1873, son of Mr. and Mrs. Asle Olson, pioneer residents. Following his marriage to Miss Mary Olsen, they established their home on the farm on which he died.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Otto at home, and Stanley, Waukon; two daughters, Mrs. Engvald Bratrud, Waterville, and Mrs. Henry Peterson, Sheffield, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. Michael Halverson, Thompson, Ia., and Mrs. Isabelle Nelson, Lyle, Minn.; and four brothers, Henry and Peter Olson, both of Waukon; Carl Olson, Osage, Ia., and Herman Olson, Jefferson, Ia.
