Christian Science Memorial services were held Friday, July 2, 1965 for Mrs. Dora E. Schave, who passed away at Smith Memorial Hospital in Decorah on June 29, 1965. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Castalia.

Dora Elizabeth Peterson, the daughter of Marx Christ and Sophia Schuman Peterson, was born April 10, 1887 in Clayton county. She married Charles Schave in 1926. No children were born to the union.

She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, and two sisters. Survivors include: a brother, Ben Peterson of Neillsville, Wisconsin; two sisters, Lucy, Mrs. Roy Bachelder of Rocky Mountain House, Canada and Lena Heasly of Monmuth, Illinois; plus many nieces and nephews.

The deceased spent the last six weeks of her life at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold McIntosh in Decorah with her sister, Lena Heasly, caring for her.
