Funeral services were held Monday, April 10, 1967, 1:30 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, for Lloyd W. Schultz, who passed away at Community Memorial Hospital on April 7, 1967. The Rev. Lenwood Monte was in charge of the rites. Burial was in Postville cemetery.
Lloyd William Schultz was born on July 5, 1905 in Winneshiek county, Iowa, son of William and Elizabeth Jahnke Schultz. He passed away at the Community Memorial Hospital in Postville on April 7, 1967 at the age of 61 years, nine months, and two days.
Lloyd received his education in the rural schools of Winneshiek county. Mr. Schultz was married to Aurelia Heins on June 24, 1931. To this union was born four daughters, Arlene, Yvonne, Judith and Sharon; and two sons, Velder and Richard.
He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Arlene, (Mrs Gordon Pollock) of Volga, Yvonne, (Mrs. Dean Landt) of Luana, Judith, (Mrs. Kenneth Nelson) of Ossian, and Sharon (Mrs. Louis Becker, Jr.) of Elgin; two sons, Velder of Postville and Richard of Iowa City; and four sisters, Mabel, (Mrs. Emil Schultz) of Postville, Alta, (Mrs. Albert Borchardt) of Menasha, Wisconsin, Amanda, (Mrs. Vern Hupfer) of Monona and Eileen (Mrs. Robert McGilligan) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ora (Mrs. Lloyd Sampson) and one grandchild.
Mr. Schultz was a member of the IOOF of Postville and the Postville Volunteer Fire Department.
