Libbie Louise Schultz
Libbie Louise Schultz was born January 4, 1898, daughter of Charles and Anna Thoma Schultz, on a farm in Clayton county. She passed away at the Community Memorial Hospital on June 28, 1967 at the age of 69 years, five months and 24 days.
She was baptized May 15, 1898 by Rev. F. H. Schumann and confirmed March 31, 1912 by Rev. R. Kuehne. Miss Schultz has been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville all her life.
She received her education in the rural schools of Clayton county and was a graduate of the Postville high school. She was a member of the class of 1917 which celebrated it's fiftieth year reunion this year. After graduation she taught school for a time and was a clerk at the Farmer's Store for many years.
She was survived by one sister, Elsie; one brother, Luver, both of Postville; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Irene, Lucia, Etelka, Malinda; brothers, George, Fred C., Walter, Ervin, Verni and Charles.
Rites were held Saturday, July 1, 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lenwood Monte in charge. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
