Dale Louis Schultz
A funeral mass for Dale Schultz was conducted Monday, May 27, 1985, at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Postville by Rev. A. A. McAvoy and concelebrated by Rev. John Moran. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Clermont.
Dale Louis Schultz, son of Harlan W. and Loretta (McGraw) Schultz, Sr., was born August 28, 1933 at Waukon. He died Thursday morning, May 23, 1985 in Linn County, near Center Pt. He attended school at Waverly and graduated from the Clermont School. He was also a graduate of Loras College at Dubuque.
Dale served in the U. S. Navy in 1952 and 1953 and then again in 1955 to 1965 for a total of 12 1/2 years. He had presently been employed as a Clerk in the V. A. Hospitals in Iowa City.
Dale had lived in Clermont for 12 years and for the past 4 years had been living in Coralville. He was a member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Iowa City, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Dominic Club of Iowa City.
He is preceded in death by his mother in 1975. Surviving are his father, Harlan Schultz, Sr. and stepmother, Beulah, both of Postville, 4 brothers, Harlan Schultz, Jr. of Waterloo, William of Marion, John of Cedar Rapids and Paul, 3 sisters, Mary (Mrs. David Ryan) of Coral Springs, FL, Joy Ann (Mrs. James Aukofer) of Wichita, KS and Jane (Mrs. James Anderson) of Irrigon, OR.
Casket bearers were Anthony Aukofer, Gerald Guyer, Aaron Schultz, Timothy Schultz, Donald Meyer, Brad Porterfield, Matthew Schultz and Anthony Schultz.
