Mr. Cyrus J. York of Crosby died Saturday evening after three months illness, at the age of 69 years.
The deceased was born in Allamakee county, Iowa, February 8, 1870. On May 5, 1900, he was united in marriage to Asnie May Bowen at Laverne, Minn., and went to live at Rock Rapids, Iowa. In 1915 the family moved to Divide county and lived on a farm in Long Creek township. They lived in Mentor township for a time. In 1932 the Yorks moved to Crosby to live.
Survivors besides the widow are six sons and four daughters. They are Clifford of Detroit Lakes, Minn.; A.J. (Carrie) McDonnell, Anken, Minn.; Mrs. J.B. Johnson (Ruth), Detroit Lakes, Minn.; Amos, Staples, Minn.; Ralph, Willmar, Minn.; Mrs. Melvin B. (Altha) Olsen, Audubon, Minn.; Eugene, Audubon, Minn.; Francis, Porter, Minn.; and Cecil and Marion at home. A brother, Matt York, Watertown, S.D., and three sisters, Mrs. A.C. Van Styke, Hastings, Minn.; Mrs. Madge Lewis, Rock Rapids, Iowa, and Mrs. Nettie Davies of Becker, Minn., also survive.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed. Burial will be at Detroit Lakes, Minn., with Mrs. York and all of the children attending.
