JASON C. BULMAN DIES IN UNION CITY TOWNSHIP
Another pioneer resident of Union City township, Jason C. Bulman, has been called to his reward, death coming to his relief Tuesday, Dec. 24th, after a long period of ill health from pernicious anaemia. Deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bulman and was born in the township where he died May 2, 1871.
Mr. Bulman is survived by his wife, formerly Margaret Amelon of Iowa City, and six children, three sons and three daughters as follows: Howard Bulman, Waukon; John and Gene, at home; Mrs. Ridge Martin, Mesdames Truman and Ed. Wenig, all of Union City township. He is also survived by three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Carrie Green, Fayette; Mrs. Ben Hartley, Union City township; Walter Bulman, Cherokee, Iowa; Mrs. Anna Reburn, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Thomas Bulman of Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Mount Hope church with interment in the nearby cemetery. The pall bearers were John, Earl and Thomas Beardmore, Alton, Fred and Allen Hartley.Source: Eloise Meyer obituary collection, Allamakee Historical Society, Waukon, Iowa
