Mrs. ROGER (Ellen) SHERMAN

Graveside services at the National cemetery were held Friday for Mrs. Ellen Sherman, former resident of this community, who passed away at her home in Brookfield, Missouri December 21, 1958. Mrs. Sherman was operator of the Elliot Hotel in Brookfield. Funeral services were held at Brookfield at the Hill Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Kelly. The body was then sent to Postville where graveside services were held at National. Mrs. Sherman was the widow of the late Mark Roger Sherman who died July 11, 1957. She was a native of Chicago, Illinois. The known next of kin is a sister-in-law, Mrs. L. M. Barret of Western Springs, Illinois. Mrs. Sherman had no family. She had operated the Elliot hotel since the death of her husband.
