Mrs. RAYMOND (Geneva C. Flage) SNITKER 1916-1996

Funeral services [for] Geneva Snitker were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 31 at Salem UCC with the Rev. Jack Frohn officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with arrangements by Martin Funeral home.

Geneva C. Snitker was born September 23, 1916 to John and Emma (Klein) Flage on the family farm in Ludlow Township. She attended Ludlow # 2 rural school. February 19, 1941 she married Raymond Snitker in Allamakee County. Geneva was a lifetime Waukon area resident and a member of Salem United Church of Christ and its women's organizations, and a slat and peper (sic) shaker collecting club.

Geneva died Monday, October 28, 1996 in Veterans Memorial Hospital. She was 80 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1985, and a sister, Mildred Henningsgaard.

Surviving are a son and his wife, Curtis and Marcia of Cedar Rapids, a daughter and her husband, Pamela and Rick Woods of Brownsville, MN; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Willard Snitker of Postville, and two sisters-in-law, Lucille Ludeking of Waukon and Rebecca Hendrickson of McGregor.

Casket bearers were Tom and Noah Regan, Mike Woods, Stephen Wells, Scot Snitker, Don Henningsgaard and Glen Spiegler.
