Funeral services for Milton A. "Mit" Gramlich, age 83, of Monona, Iowa were held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Living Faith United Methodist Parish in Monona, Iowa with the Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial was in the Monona Eastside City Cemetery in Monona, Iowa. Mit died on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville, Iowa.

Milton Arthur " Mit" Gramlich was born September 19, 1928 at Mays Prairie, rural Lansing, Iowa to Dewey and Lulu (Brockmeyer) Gramlich. He graduated from Lansing High School in Lansing, Iowa in 1947. He was united in marriage with Belva Joanne Clancy on August 6, 1950 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lansing. Mit worked for Johnson's Hardware in Lansing before being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1951. He was stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska and was discharged in 1953. After his discharge, he worked as a lineman with Interstate Power Company in Lansing and was transferred to Monona in 1966, serving as a manager. He owned and operated K's Variety and Fabrics with his wife Belva and was a manager and partner in Lowell's Electric in Monona.

Milton Gramlich is survived by his wife Belva of Monona; four children Kevin (Chrystal) Gramlich of Lanesboro, Minnesota, Kelly (Alan) Esch of Epworth, Iowa, Kay (Dan) Vorwald of Monona and Karri (Scott) Mabou of Deville, Louisiana; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters Betty Steiber of Lansing and Shirley (Harold) Marti of Lansing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws Walter and Verona Clancy; two sisters-in-law; and three brothers-in-law.
