Funeral services were conducted from the Schutte Funeral Home, Postville, on Thursday, April 5, 1973, at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Norman Ullestad officiated.

Alma Clara Mina Timmerman, daughter of John and Mina Meyer Timmerman, was born March 19, 1885 at Giard, Iowa. She died at her home in Postville, Tuesday, April 3, 1973. Miss Timmerman was baptized June 25, 1885 by Rev. Wellmeyer at Giard and was confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church, April 8, 1900.

She lived in the Postville-Castalia area all her life. She grew up on the farm and was acquainted with farm work. She was engaged in housework and for several years took care of her parents prior to their deaths. She resided in the home since that time.

Her parents and a brother William preceded her in death. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Clara Sphar of the Good Samaritan Center, Postville, a brother Arno of Castalia and several nieces and nephews. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
