Waukon, Ia. - Services for Mrs. Johanna Leyse, 71, who died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Le Clere, of Waukon, will be Monday afternoon from Martin Brothers Funeral Home to the West Paint Creek Church. The Rev. L.G. Hagen will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Leyse, the former Johanna Swain, was born December 16, 1880, near Elon, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans J. Swain. She was married June 4, 1902, to Edward G. Leyse. The couple farmed near Waterville until 1931 when Mr. Leyse died.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Emmet Burgess, of Waukon; Mrs. Robert Johnson, of Jefferson Township; and Mrs. Harold Le Clere, of Ludlow Township; a son, Helmer, of Waukon, and two grandchildren.
