Additional Local Matter.
--This community was startled and grieved yesterday morning on receiving word of the sudden death of John Saddler, an esteemed citizen and resident of English Bench. He had suffered an attack of acute gastritis, but no serious apprehension was felt by his friends. Friday he accompanied several neighbors to New Albin, and while there had a chill which aggravated his trouble, and in spite of all that could be done for him by medical skill and loving wife, his life went out. Deceased was about 30 years of age. He leaves a wife, two children, an adopted son, three brothers - Edward, Joseph and William, and a sister -- Mrs. Wm Beardmore, Jr. Mrs. Wm. Ashbacker, of this city, is a sister of Mrs. Saddler. The death of Mr. Saddler causes deep, heartfelt sorrow in the family circle, in the community, the church and in Dorchester Camp of Woodmen, of which deceased was an honored member. The funeral will take place at noon to-morrow, Saturday.
