The wife of Wm. Beardmore, of French Creek, died yesterday morning, after an illness from abscess of the liver, of several weeks' duration.

We regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Eliza Beardmore, wife of Wm. Beardmore, and daughter of Wm. Sadler, of Union City township. The particulars have not reached us. The funeral took place from Mount Hope Church, on yesterday.[sic]

DIED - At her residence in Union City Township on the morning of Dec. 19th of Hemhorrage, Mrs. Elizabeth Beardmore, wife of Wm. Beardmore, Jr., in the 71st year of her age.

The deceased was the daughter of William Saddler, of the English Bench. She had lived from her infancy among the people of this neighborhood and by her [illegible] had become warmly [illegible] to all her many acquaintances, hence her [illegible] widely and keenly felt.

She was a member of Mount Hope Presbyterian Church and lived in the Christian faith. Though long confined to her bed such were the hopes of her recovery that her decease was a surprise too all.

The funeral was attended at the residence of her father, on Thursday P.M., Dec. 2?.

Death has entered our neighborhood. The death of Mrs. Eliza Beardmore, on Dec. 19th, brought sorrow to a very large circle of relatives and friends, and being unexpected was [illegible] evidence of the uncertainty of life.
