Otto Kubitz, 94, died Sunday in Ossian Senior Hospice, Ossian. Services: 11 a.m. today, St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. at the New Albin Funeral Hall. Hanson Funeral Home, Waukon, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Weiand of Calmar and Mary Lou Meyer of West Union; two sons, C. William of Caledonia, Minn., and Richard of New Albin; a sister, Florence Irons of Charles City; and a brother, Arlie of New Albin.

Otto Kubitz, age 94, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 1993, at the Ossian Senior Hospice, Ossian, Iowa.
Funeral services are Wednesday at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m., today at the New Albin Funeral Hall. The Rosary will be said at 5 p.m., and the Scripture Service at 8 p.m.
Otto Kubitz was born July 9, 1898, to Mary Dehning Kubitz and Charles Kubitz, in Houston County, Minnesota. He married Alice Hayes on Dec. 12, 1922, in New Albin. She preceded him in death. Otto was a lifelong farmer and lived in the New Albin area.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Weiand of Calmar, Iowa, and Mary Lou Meyer of West Union, Iowa; two sons, C. William of Caledonia, Minn., and Richard of New Albin; one sister, Florence Irons of Charles City, Iowa; one brother, Arlie Kubitz of New Albin; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Chuck Meyer, Todd Meyer, Troy Kubitz, Lyndon Kubitz, Pete Weiand and Gerry Weiand.
Hanson Funeral Home, Waukon, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
