Funeral services for the late Thomas J. Kelleher were held at St. Patrick's Church at Waukon on Thursday, August 21. Mr. Kelleher, a former resident of Waukon, died at the home of his son, Leo, in Chicago, after a month's illness.
He was born in Allamakee county seventy-two years ago and had lived here until two years ago. His widow and six children, on brother and two sisters survive.
Mr. Kelleher is best remembered as postmaster of Waukon, in which capacity he served for four years under the second Cleveland administration. He was engaged in the shoe business for a number of years.
