Lansing - Michael J. Gavin, 89, of rural Lansing died January 21 at his home.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Wexford, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Gavin was a member of the Allamakee Conservation Commission, the Knights of Columbus for over 40 years, and an Allamakee County committeeman for 13 years.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; four sons, Clarence of Harpers Ferry, Clair and Daniel, both of Racine, Wisconsin, and Paul of Lansing; six daughters, Elizabeth Gavin of Dubuque, a housekeeper at St. Joseph's Parish, Sister Mary Sheila of Dodgville, Wisconsin; Mrs. Cloy Folsom and Mrs. Al Ferko, both of Racine, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Burton Feuerhelm of Lansing; 38 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
