The community were much saddened to learn of the sudden death of Anna Kalowinski, daughter of John and Anna Kalowinski, on Sunday morning, after an illness of only three weeks.

Young in years, being just past seventeen, life seemed to have just begun.

The funeral was held in the church in Volney. Six young ladies in beautiful white gowns acted as pall bearers. The interment was at Smithfield.
