SIMON HANSMEIER
Waukon, Ia.-Special: Funeral services for Simon Hansmeier, 86, will be held here Saturday afternoon at Zion Reformed Church with the Rev. Frank Stucki, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Mr. Hansmeier died Wednesday at his home where following a lingering illness.
He was born Nov. 9, 1855, in Germany and when 27 years old he came to America. He was married April 28, 1887, to Minnie Krumme and they settled on a farm in Allamakee County, where they remained until 16 years ago when they retired and moved to Waukon.
Mr. Hansmeier served as deacon and elder of the Zion Reformed Church for nearly 40 years. He also served as an officer of the Waukon Cooperative Creamery Company for 30 years.
Surviving are his widow; seven children, Albert, Paul, Ben, Leonard, Mrs. Theodore Krueger, and Mrs. Minnie Moyer, all of Waukon; and Clara of Waterloo.
