New Albin, Ia. - Funeral services for Reuben G. May, 75, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church with the Rev. L.E. Sarchett officiating. Following the services at the church the body was taken to Mays Prairie for burial beside his parents. The Masonic lodge, of which he was a member, had charge.

Casketbearers were John C. Mendenhall, Arthur Feuerhelm, Howard Steele, Herman Panzer, Clarence Feuerhelm and Alvin Wilde.

Reuben Garvin May was born at Mays Prairie July 19, 1858. He died Monday morning at 6 o'clock following an illness of a few months.

When 21 years old he came to New Albin, where he worked at the carpenter trade for a time, later taking up farming. During his stay here he served the community in many official duties until a number of years ago.

Mr. May is survived by only one sister, Mrs. Lois E. White of Fairfield, Neb., 10 brothers and sisters having preceded him in death.

He was a member of the New Albin Methodist church for 42 years.
