Waukon, Ia. - Funeral arrangements were being made Saturday for Sister Mary Michael, who died suddenly at Fairbank Friday following a stroke.

It was believed the body would be returned here for burial.

She was the former Julia Laughlin and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Laughlin, early residents of French Creek Township. Her early education was received in the local schools and when a young woman she joined the Presentation Nuns. She had since taught in various schools.

Survivors include a brother, Andrew Laughlin, of French Creek Township, and a sister, Mrs. Michael Connors of Waukon.
