New Albin- Funeral services for Ivan Donahue, 30, were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church Monday morning at 9 o'clock, the Rev. L. Hayes officiated.
Burial took place in the Catholic cemetery at Jefferson, Minn.
Mr. Donahue was born on the Donahue homestead in Jefferson township on May 1, 1905. He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Donahue. He attended the district school and after completing his grade work, he attended New Albin high school. He was graduated from the Caledonia, Minn., high school. He then entered the University of Iowa and studied interior decorating.
Mr. Donahue was fatally injured last Wednesday morning when his car was struck on a grade crossing in Chicago by a freight train. He died a few minutes after arriving at a hospital.
He was employed in Chicago as an interior decorator, and was driving to his work from the home of his sister, Mrs. Al Brimrose, when the accident happened.
He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Al Brimrose of Chicago, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Robert Lager (Marion) of Caledonia; and two brothers, James and Gerald Donahue, both at home.
