Waukon- Services for John Rema Sr., who died at his home in Center Township Monday after a long illness, will be Thursday afternoon from the family home to the Old East Paint Creek Church. The Rev. E. O. Baalsom will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

The Bakke and Hanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Rema was born Aug. 18, 1876, in Center Township, the son of early settlers Mr. and Mrs. Ole Rema. On Sept. 3, 1916, he married Clara Kolsrud, who survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James Jeolum (sic: Jeglum) of Waterville, and Mrs. Milton Lind of Mabel, Minn., and twin sons, John and Norman, living in Center Township and operating the home farm.
