Waukon- Emmett LeRoy Palmer, 88, of rural Waukon, died Friday morning at his home.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Martin Brothers Funeral Home here, where friends may call. Burial will be in the Oddfellows Cemetery, Rossville, Ia.

Surviving are three sons, Everett, of Harper's Ferry, Ia., Emmett, of Monona, Ia., and Creighton, of Decorah, Ia.; three daughters, Mrs. Wesley (Gretta) Thias, Monona, Mrs. Albert (Dorothy) Leet, Bemidji, Minn., and Mrs. George (Thelma) Stenseth, of St. Paul, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles, of Waukon; and a sister, Mrs. Doris Heiser, of Waukon.
