Lansing- A mass of requiem was read in the Immaculate Conception church here Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock for George Horne, 69, the Most Rev. Monsignor John Haxmeier officiating.

Casketbearers were: Robert Cooper, Hjalmer Carlson, Roy Hartman, Charles King, Norbert Spinner and Joseph Teff.

Mr. Horne died at the family home Monday following a few weeks illness.

Born in Lansing township, Feb. 28, 1865, he was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Horne. He lived here until he grew to manhood. On Jan. 20, 1891, he was married to Miss Lydia Trayer. For the past seven years he was employed by the state fish and game department.

Surviving besides his widow are four children: Mrs. Otto Koch of Lansing, Mrs. Wayne Robertson and Mrs. Joseph Lucey, both of Ferryville, Wis.; and John of Lansing. One brother, William of Dubuque, and four sisters, Mrs. Stewart Cooper of Lansing, Mrs. Frank Miller of Portage, Wis., Mrs. Courtney Mack of Yukon, Alaska, and Mrs. Ida Lowe of Denver, Colo., and a step-brother, Wesley Horne of Ely, Minn., also survive.
